I just finish half the book , and i notice that at P.27 bottom right corner .
3 boxes stays in a straight line
and there is two of them content are the same ,both says" Is sub-sector command approval required?"
the last one is "Is Segmentaum command approval required?"

As stated in my review of the Uplifting Primer, I am biased heavily by my IG roots. Good read

I would suggest this book for anyone who wants to learn how to be a better you. The principles are out of the Bible and whether you believe the good book or not it contains some wonderful instructions for being a better person. The advantage of a sound mind is priceless for daily living. I have been on a journey for over a year to become the man I want to be. The man that makes everyone around me a better person because of my attitude on life. This book has already help me achieve new heights. I am also one who doesn't like long books but it kept me involved and hungry for the next paragraph. It is also easy to understand and gives good insight on how to dump your old garbage you carry and start living a better life. So get a copy and start living a joyful life with a sound mind.

Jam-Packed With Biblical Wisdom and How to Apply it to Your Life

There was so much Biblical wisdom packed within this book that I recommend going through it slowly and truly walking through each of the "Life Application" sections. If you do, your life will truly be changed. Many of the topics the authors writes about are topics that God has taught me as well and I resonate with much of what is shared within the pages of this book.

Topics like the spiritual battle we face, the difference our attitude makes, cultivating a grateful spirit, renewing our minds with God's truth, taking every thought captive, living a life of forgiveness and so much more.

I especially like the "Life Application" sections at the end of each chapter as the author gives you practical ways to take action on what is shared.

Great resource for living an all around healthy life

God's desire is for us to live a life filled with joy and peace. When stress enters our lives, it interferes with our relationships, our health and takes away our peace and joy. Eddie Snipes, president of the Christian Authors Guild and founder of Exchanged Life Ministries, believes that a godly attitude can change the way we live.

In his book, "The Promise of a Sound Mind", Snipes teaches us how to reprogram our minds to think positively and overcome negative attitudes and behaviors. Discussing topics such as forgiveness, restoring relationships, thankfulness, dealing with fear and many others, Snipes shows how changing our attitude about these things can make a difference in our stress level and our emotional and mental health.

The life applications at the end of each chapter will not only help reinforce what you learn they will also help you know yourself better and why you act and/or react the way you do. These sections alone are worth the price of the book. This book is filled with biblical wisdom and is very good therapy for anyone trying to walk away from the stress in their life.

life changing in two days

This work is a genuine breakthrough in self-help literature.It involves the use of one very effective technique which can be used in the morning, in the evening and all day for that matter. It involves using the subconscious to your own advantage. Instead of using positive thinking and affirmations which are resisted by the subconscious, the author suggests asking questions of the subconscious e.g. why am I confident? why am I happy? Why am I so grateful for all that i have got? A seven-year-old girl even asked the question"why am I so enchanting"? The system turns Emile Coué on his head. Instead of saying "day by day I am getting better and better in every way" you should say "why is it that I am getting better and better in every way in every day"? The subconscious cannot reject any proposition because it receives a question and then it has to find answers.Of course you are not conscious of what the answers are because they remain in the subconscious but within days you feel more confident, optimistic and upbeat. A behaviourist or rational emotive therapist might suggest that you use a rubber band on your wrist and sting yourself each time you think a negative or destructive thought. The afformation technique shortcuts such thoughts in the first place. It is so easy to apply and it is what we do anyway, with the difference that we are asking better questions. The author shows us how to form questions that will get rid of self-critical trash talk. I've tried many things for the last 40 years but this is by far the best. I've tried Norman Vincent Peale, Albert Ellis, Tony Robbins,visualisation and affirmations.I got results in two days and that voice in my head that said I was inadequate has ceased now for nine months and counting. I can't recommend this book highly enough and only wish that I had read it 30 years ago.

What a wonderful simple easy to use system, turning a common trait (asking why questions) into a powerful healing tool. I cannot imagine how I got along without it. I highly recommend this book.

Useful tool for changing your mindset

I really do like Noah's "invention" of afformations, it makes sense to me. I've used them with good results. I do find that his reading style on this cd is a little more cutesy than I like. He seems like a great guy with some real insights but I'd like to hear someone else read the book. Other than that, I'd recommend his books and cd's because I think there's some really excellent things to learn from them.

The authors did a great job of addressing academic assessment at many different scales

I appreciated that the authors examined assessment across multiple scales - from individual assignments or courses up to institutional effectiveness. I found lots of great ideas that I can incorporate into my department's assessment plan or into my own courses. I'm glad I got the hardcover. I'm sure I'll be referring to this book frequently for many years.

Great book and he has others

Finding a book this great renews my faith in humanity. One sign of an excellent book is a great bibliography, this one is such a one, it is divided into books, articles, reports and websites -- as few are but as all should be. Not a lot of books but they are all excellent books, same for the rest of the bibliography. Cockett is a pro. Here is a review from Foreign Affairs:

“Cockett, a former correspondent for The Economist, has traveled to every corner of Myanmar (also known as Burma) to uncover the roots of its troubled condition. The Burmans, the majority ethnic group (who are mostly Buddhist), live on the country’s central plain. They are surrounded by a horseshoe-shaped ring of “hill tribes,” many of which are Christian and which are classified into 135 officially recognized ethnic groups. This picture is further complicated by the legacies of the British colonial period, when the country experienced an influx of Hindus and Muslims from various parts of India, as well as Chinese merchants, Iraqi Jews, and others seeking commercial opportunities. Faced with so much ethnic and religious diversity, postindependence military regimes tried to “purify” the country through assimilationist education and language policies, exclusionary citizenship laws, and a military-dominated economic model, all of which have only exacerbated divisions. Cockett’s lucid analysis of these complexities makes clear his affection for the country. But he evinces little hope that the current quasi-military regime or the opposition can overcome these conflicts and make Myanmar anything more than a “stunted democracy.”

A Good Summary of Burma Past & Present

The book, which is organized into two sections, provides an interesting portrait of Burmese history and current events.

In the first section, Burma’s history is told through the lens of the “plural society.” In a plural society people mix but do not combine; they have their own culture, language, religion, etc. As individuals they meet only in the marketplace to buy and sell.

The author argues that the British created a pluralistic society in Burma by encouraging the immigration of non-Buddhist’s from other parts of the empire. His contention is that this and other colonial / pre world war II policies continues to contribute to Burma’s current problems. While I think that here is some truth to this, I thought the point was taken too far. At times the story became a bit tedious to read as the author digressed to tie one of Burma’s current problems back to the concept of pluralism and British imperialism.

The second section of the book deals with more recent events. It summarizes the rise of the National League for Democracy, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and the transition to a relatively less repressive government led by Thein Sein. It unfortunately ends before the December 2015 election. To me, this section of the book was the most interesting as it described Burma’s problems in a more international and contemporary context. I thought that the authors use of first person accounts of the historic oppression and current political climate gave a unique perspective on the country.

I found the book to be a good and interesting read and recommend it to those interested in Burma or southeast Asian history & current events.
