Easy as learning the A B Vs and 1 2 3s!

This is an exceptionally fast read with a lot of information. The information is not explained in a way that's too difficult to comprehend. It's extremely simplistic yet straight to the point. As I practice with my tarot cards, this book is a great tool to guide me in a simple fast way. I won't be reading pages of information on one card to understand the meaning. As far as part two of the book, the same applies. There is great information on the Wiccan way that I had no clue about - very interesting. Again, explained in simple terms.

I just love witchcraft and I found this book amazing one of the thing I wanted to learn was how to read tarot cards and this book is really meant for me. Witchcraft requires more than a potion to follow. Anyone can follow the steps of a spell, but not everyone will get results.you must enjoy or believe in it to get what you are looking for. This is a great book even for beginners

I have learned a lot from this book. Very eyeopening and some of the practices of the book seem very interesting. This is certainly a good book for beginners that highlights specific practices and knowledge for dedicated people of witchcraft. Easy read with highly motivating word choices. Good job, Parkins.

Finally Some Common Sense

As an ex cattle rancher who spent way too much time (as did my employees) trying to get similar ideas across to the BLM I find this book to be incredibly refreshing. Ranchers, environmentalists and government range managers should be required to read this book. Daggett is to be commended for having the guts to take on this monumental change in attitude amongst all those named above and he's proved his point. Ranchers need to face the fact that they can change their ways for the betterment of all and evironmentalits and government range managers need to open their eyes to the fact that we are never again going to have the rangelands we had 200 years ago. But, with this approach, we can have the best of both worlds for the range, the ranchers and the public. We can also redirect the incredible amount of time, money and effort that is wasted on the wars between all involved to more productive, peaceful and productive pursuits.

Rangeland Wisdom

Reared on the High Plains, I’ve always loved the West’s wide-open spaces. One of the earliest songs I remember hearing on the radio in Dodge City, Kansas (no doubt sung by Gene Autry and the “Sons of the Pioneers”), was “Home, Home on the Range.” And after all these years I still share that early longing for “a home where the buffalo roam, where the deer and the antelope play, where never is heard a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day.” So I recently read with interest Dan Dagget’s Beyond the Rangeland Conflict: Toward a West that Works (Flagstaff, AZ: The Grand Canyon Trust, c. 1995).
As a journalist strongly committed to environmentalism, Dagget served “as conservation chair of the Northern Arizona Sierra Club group and as a writer for a number of environmental journals, including the Earth First! Journal.” The Sierra Club once ranked him as one of the 100 top grass-roots activist in the nation. He glibly chanted the mantra “nature knows best,” insisting she be allowed to follow her inner wisdom. He also viewed ranchers—particularly those grazing cattle on public lands—as harmful intruders who should be removed in order to allow Mother Earth to heal herself from the wounds of civilization. He “repeated—too many times to count—the statistics that make up the indictment against western ranchers: that domestic grazers are responsible for destroying up to 90 percent of some western states’ riparian areas that are, in turn, vital to up to 80 percent of the region’s indigenous species; that livestock are the reason 59 percent of our public rangelands are in poor condition; that the belches of livestock contribute to global warming; their excrement fouls our campgrounds and pollutes our streams, and bits of their bodies clog our arteries” ( p. 7).
In time, however, a powerful truth overwhelmed him: the lands wisely used by good ranchers flourished better than those left alone! As he surveyed the West, talked with the people who live on the land, and studied the issue, he concluded that “much of the western range is in worse shape than even some of the most alarming assessments would have us believe,” with “denuded and eroding” mountains and deserts, dying streams and endangered wildlife (p. 1). But, contrary to environmentalist rhetoric and federal policy, these problems flowed from the widely-held notion that ecosystems left alone thrive but suffer under the hand of man. In truth, grazing animals generally improve the health of the land and enable it to promote the biodiversity real environmentalists (including many ranchers) desire. Thus: “The main objective of this book is to chronicle the success stories of these ranchers, and, as much as possible, the management teams with whom they work to increase biodiversity, revive riparian areas and watersheds, and restore the vitality of grasslands and savannas.” Dagget hopes “to encourage more environmentalists to work with ranchers and find their reward on the land, rather than in the hearing room or the courtroom” (p. 11).
To prove his case, Dagget shows, through personal vignettes and stories as well as gorgeous pictures (often showing, side-by-side flourishing grazed land compared with degraded left-alone preserves), how ranchers in various areas are rightly caring for the land. He visits ranches in New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada, arguing that similar approaches throughout the arid West could restore vast regions to the health they enjoyed centuries ago (when Indians set fires to control the grasslands and wild animals did what cattle can now do).
“The ranchers and conservationists who populate these pages,” says Wendell Berry in his promotional blurb, “have quit fighting over the contested landscapes and have begun restoring them. It would be hard to overestimate the importance of their stories. I read this book eagerly, recognizing it as something I have been waiting for, and it gave me hope.”

Learning to work w/environmentalists and has it been successful?

I have been researching the animal rights movement and its' involvement w/Agenda 21, now referred to as Agenda 2030 and/or other labels such as "General Plan 2030."

Beyond the Rangeland Conflict provides the reader w/first hand stories of the methodology being used by the EPA and other regulators, to work w/long time large ranches. Purportedly, to save the environment.

What amazes me as a long time upland game hunter is, farmers, ranchers and hunters have for decades been environmentalists. To succeed, one must work w/and monitor weather, water, rain, and so on. Ranching is a very special life style and not meant for all persons. Ranchers do an amazing job feeding America and government needs to back off and learn from those who live w/the environment every single day. An excellent read and do it w/an open mind.

Hail to the Comissar!

As stated in my review of the Uplifting Primer, I am biased heavily by my IG roots. With family in the army I connected with the way they run and how this book portrays the epic-level paperwork you have to file to get coffee let alone a bomber to level the enemie's bunker. A somewhat saterical look at how The Departmento Munitorum and its Comissar's operate, this book is guaranteed to grant laughs, headaches, and some sadness for those who have had to file similar paperwork. I carry this and the Uplifting primer in my jacket with me like a Doctor Who fan would carry the "Darlek Survival Guide."

Good read

I would suggest this book for anyone who wants to learn how to be a better you. The principles are out of the Bible and whether you believe the good book or not it contains some wonderful instructions for being a better person. The advantage of a sound mind is priceless for daily living. I have been on a journey for over a year to become the man I want to be. The man that makes everyone around me a better person because of my attitude on life. This book has already help me achieve new heights. I am also one who doesn't like long books but it kept me involved and hungry for the next paragraph. It is also easy to understand and gives good insight on how to dump your old garbage you carry and start living a better life. So get a copy and start living a joyful life with a sound mind.

Jam-Packed With Biblical Wisdom and How to Apply it to Your Life

There was so much Biblical wisdom packed within this book that I recommend going through it slowly and truly walking through each of the "Life Application" sections. If you do, your life will truly be changed. Many of the topics the authors writes about are topics that God has taught me as well and I resonate with much of what is shared within the pages of this book.

Topics like the spiritual battle we face, the difference our attitude makes, cultivating a grateful spirit, renewing our minds with God's truth, taking every thought captive, living a life of forgiveness and so much more.

I especially like the "Life Application" sections at the end of each chapter as the author gives you practical ways to take action on what is shared.

Great resource for living an all around healthy life

God's desire is for us to live a life filled with joy and peace. When stress enters our lives, it interferes with our relationships, our health and takes away our peace and joy. Eddie Snipes, president of the Christian Authors Guild and founder of Exchanged Life Ministries, believes that a godly attitude can change the way we live.

In his book, "The Promise of a Sound Mind", Snipes teaches us how to reprogram our minds to think positively and overcome negative attitudes and behaviors. Discussing topics such as forgiveness, restoring relationships, thankfulness, dealing with fear and many others, Snipes shows how changing our attitude about these things can make a difference in our stress level and our emotional and mental health.

The life applications at the end of each chapter will not only help reinforce what you learn they will also help you know yourself better and why you act and/or react the way you do. These sections alone are worth the price of the book. This book is filled with biblical wisdom and is very good therapy for anyone trying to walk away from the stress in their life.

life changing in two days

This work is a genuine breakthrough in self-help literature.It involves the use of one very effective technique which can be used in the morning, in the evening and all day for that matter. It involves using the subconscious to your own advantage. Instead of using positive thinking and affirmations which are resisted by the subconscious, the author suggests asking questions of the subconscious e.g. why am I confident? why am I happy? Why am I so grateful for all that i have got? A seven-year-old girl even asked the question"why am I so enchanting"? The system turns Emile Coué on his head. Instead of saying "day by day I am getting better and better in every way" you should say "why is it that I am getting better and better in every way in every day"? The subconscious cannot reject any proposition because it receives a question and then it has to find answers.Of course you are not conscious of what the answers are because they remain in the subconscious but within days you feel more confident, optimistic and upbeat. A behaviourist or rational emotive therapist might suggest that you use a rubber band on your wrist and sting yourself each time you think a negative or destructive thought. The afformation technique shortcuts such thoughts in the first place. It is so easy to apply and it is what we do anyway, with the difference that we are asking better questions. The author shows us how to form questions that will get rid of self-critical trash talk. I've tried many things for the last 40 years but this is by far the best. I've tried Norman Vincent Peale, Albert Ellis, Tony Robbins,visualisation and affirmations.I got results in two days and that voice in my head that said I was inadequate has ceased now for nine months and counting. I can't recommend this book highly enough and only wish that I had read it 30 years ago.

Useful tool for changing your mindset

I really do like Noah's "invention" of afformations, it makes sense to me. I've used them with good results. I do find that his reading style on this cd is a little more cutesy than I like. He seems like a great guy with some real insights but I'd like to hear someone else read the book. Other than that, I'd recommend his books and cd's because I think there's some really excellent things to learn from them.
